Kerala: 5 Killed After Car Collided With Truck In Alappuzha
Four of them died on the spot while one died in hospital during treatment
Five youths were killed in an accident after the car in which they were travelling collided with a truck that was going towards Thiruvananthapuram near Ambalappuzha in Alappuzha district.
Four of them died on the spot while one died in hospital during treatment. The incident happened in the early hours of Monday on the national highway.

The deceased have been identified as Prasad, Shiju, Amal, Sachin and Sumod, as reported by news agency ANI. The truck loaded with rice was en route to Alappuzha from Andhra Pradesh when the accident occurred.
The car involved in the crash was headed towards Thiruvananthapuram. According to the Alappuzha police, of the five people in the car, four died on the spot while. The youths were employed at the ISRO canteen in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
Four of the deceased were from Thiruvananthapuram while one was from Kollam. bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Alappuzha Medical College and Hospital. The truck driver and his helper have been taken into custody by the Kerala police, said an ANI report.
Earlier in the day, four people died and nine others were injured after a crane collapsed during a temple festival event in Tamil Nadu's Keelveethi in Arakkonam on Sunday evening. It was reported that there was no permission granted to use the crane during the festival. Tamil Nadu Minister of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department PK Sekar Babu is scheduled to visit the accident spot in Ranipet on Monday.
