Deviated from standard office protocols, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan initiated an impromptu sit-in protest on the roadside in Nilamel, Kollam district on Saturday. The protest was sparked over the police's alleged failure to prevent a black flag demonstration by SFI. The Governor also demanded stringent action against those who raised banners and slogans against him in Nilamel.
“If not, call the Prime Minister. You (pointing his fingers at the police officers present there) are responsible for this, I will not go from here. You are giving them (the protesters) protection. You are breaking the law. If not you (the police), who will uphold the law,” asked a fuming Khan, as per a report on IANS.
