Karnataka's Leader of the Opposition and BJP leader R Ashoka on Saturday claimed that the Karnataka government had become bankrupt after following the Kerala government. Additionally, he criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's guarantee, asserting that Prime Minister Modi's guarantee was the only trustworthy one.

Karnataka LoP and BJP leader R Ashoka said, "Karnataka government has become bankrupt. They are following the Kerala government. The Kerala government has already become bankrupt...Modi guarantee is the only guarantee. (CM) Siddaramaiah's guarantee is bogus. We will win all 28 seats."

Last year, Veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa alleged that the Congress administration in Karnataka had utterly failed across all sectors and was financially bankrupt. He alleged that this government was "as good as dead."
