Karnataka BJP Workers 'Attacked' By Two Miscreants, Party Pins Blame On Congress
The victim's brother mentioned that Shekhar and Naveen had dealt with financial matters, raising concerns that a disagreement over money could have triggered the argument.
According to Naveen's family, after Naveen received a call from his friends he had visited his acquaintance Shekhar's house the day before the attack. However, Naveen did not return home that night.
In his complaint, Naveen's brother Shivakumar C S stated that upon receiving a call on April 9 about his brother being at Shekhar's house, he and their father went to bring him back home. Upon their arrival, they witnessed Shekhar and an accomplice assaulting Naveen with a wooden stick. Even though they attempted to stop him, the assailants allegedly brandished a knife before fleeing the scene.
Naveen was immediately taken to a local hospital for initial treatment and subsequently transferred to another facility for further medical care, as per a report on PTI.
“Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under sections 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon or means), 504 ( Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at Bidadi police station and further investigation is underway", a senior police officer said, as per PTI, adding, nobody has been arrested in the matter yet.
Taking to X, BJP leaders alleged the role of Congress in the attack.
