Cauvery Water Sharing: Kannada Actors Sudeep, Shiva Rajkumar Express Support For Farmers Amid Row With TN

While Sudeep pitched that Cauvery was their right, Darshan highlighted the water scarcity in the state.

Amid the Cauvery water-sharing row, Kannada actors Sudeep, Darshan Thoongudeepa and Shiva Rajkumar came out in support of Karnataka and advocated for a solution. While Sudeep pitched that Cauvery was their right, Darshan highlighted the water scarcity in the state. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Kiccha Sudeep said, "Our Cauvery is our right. I believe that the government that has won with so much consensus will not abandon the people who believe in Cauvery. I demand that the experts formulate a strategy immediately and give justice."

"I also have my voice in the land-water-language struggle. May Mother Kaveri protect Karunad," he said.

Actor Darshan said, "There has been a continuous attempt to get more water by cutting the Cauvery water from Karnataka's share. This year there is a lot of water scarcity in the state. At this time, there is a lot of damage to the irrigated area, so let's consider all the statistics and get justice as soon as possible."

Actor Shiva Rajkumar said that it was his prayer that the leaders of two states and the court should find a peaceful solution for Cauvery row. He said, "A farmer is the backbone of the country, so the backbone of the farmer is our Cauvery. Farmers are already in trouble due to lack of proper rain in the state. It is my prayer that the leaders of the two states and the court should examine all aspects and find a peaceful solution."
