Bengaluru: ACB Sleuths Recover 5 KG Gold, 15 KG Silver & 62 Grams Diamonds From Businessman's Residence

New Delhi: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday morning conducted raids at residences of nine businessmen, who were suspected of influencing public servants in Bengaluru. The middlemen or agents who were raided are suspected of being involved in the malpractice of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).

ACB sleuths recovered 4.960 Kg of gold, silver weighing 15.02 Kg and 61.9 grams of diamonds (600 cents) from the residence of a businessman in Bengaluru's RT Nagar, said a news agency ANI report.

A week ago, as many as 400 ACB officials have conducted searches at 75 different places in Karnataka. Residences of 18 government officials working in different capacities across the state were raided by the Anti Corruption Bureau in connection with the disproportionate asset cases. The sleuths found at least 3 kgs of sandalwood at Range Forest Officer (RFO), Shivanand P Sharanappa Khedagi's residence.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident in November 2021, a video has gone viral in which ACB officials were seen digging cash stuffed inside a water pipe in the house of a PWD engineer during a raid. The currency notes amounted to be Rs 13.5 lakh and gold ornaments were also recovered.
