When Indian Navy struck a musical note

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], November 05 (ANI): The Eastern Naval Command Band recently provided a musical treat to the audience at VUDA Park in Visakhapatnam.

The band, comprising of 40 talented musicians, captivated the audience with their musical instruments. The performance commenced at 4.30 pm, featuring a wide selection of songs covering English, Hindi, pop and patriotic.

In keeping with the military pageantry and revelry, the performance commenced with a Quick March aptly titled Colonel Bogey March, followed by several other inspiring martial tunes.

The performance culminated with the rendition of the signature marching tune of the Indian Navy, entitled 'Jai Jai Bharati,' followed by the popular and evergreen song 'Sare Jahan se Achha', providing a fitting finale to the evening's performance.

Under the baton of Commander Satish Kumar Champion, Licentiate in Military Music and currently the director of this fine ensemble, the band continued to relate closely to its audience, making every effort to incorporate different forms and textures of music, thus providing a rich tapestry and embodying India's abiding characteristic of "Unity in Diversity".
