U'khand: Order prescribing charges for rescue operations revoked
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], Jul 15 (ANI): The Uttarakhand government on Sunday revoked its notification that had contained charges to be levied on availing helicopters during rescue operations at the time of disasters.
As per the new notification, issued today, two extra helicopters have been added and all charges levied on the helicopter services earlier at the time of disaster have been waived off.
Earlier this month, the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority issued a notification about the same.
The department, in its notification, had said that the charges for the normal passengers availing helicopters in Pithoragarh during rescue operations at the time of disaster, will be fixed at Rs 3,100 (including GST) per person.
The order was approved by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. (ANI)
