Three booked in Ghaziabad building collapse case

Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 23 (ANI): A first Information Report (FIR) has been registered against three persons in connection with the Ghaziabad building collapse case.

Four supervisors have also been suspended.

A five-storey under-construction building collapsed near Missal Gadi on Sunday afternoon, claiming one life.

"Three people have been named in the FIR. As the investigation progresses and more names come up, they'll be included in the FIR and action will be taken against them. Four supervisors have been suspended, a government report has been sent against seven people," said Ghaziabad District Magistrate.

Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh has also assured strict action against those found guilty in the incident.

"The inquiry has been ordered. We have directed the administration to take strict action against those responsible. We have directed the administration to vacate illegal buildings and demolish them if need be," he said. (ANI)
