Telangana CM approves design for martyrs memorial

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Feb 21 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday approved the design for martyrs' memorial.

The memorial is being built to honour those who sacrificed their lives amid the Telangana statehood movement.

The structure will be constructed in Hyderabad's Hussain Sagar, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao said in a tweet.

"To eternalise the sacrifices of hundreds of martyrs in Telangana statehood movement, @TelanganaCMO has approved martyrs memorial design. Coming up at the famous Hussain Sagar at the core of Hyderabad," he tweeted.

The design is developed on a traditional lamp in the form of a diya to eternalise the sacrifices of hundreds of martyrs in Telangana statehood movement, he added. (ANI)
