Six of family commit suicide in Jharkhand

Jharkhand (Hazaribagh) [India], July 15 (ANI): In yet another incident of mass suicide, six members of a family here committed suicide owing to mounting debts.

A note recovered from the scene revealed that the family was under immense pressure due to mounting debts.

Speaking to ANI, an official having the knowledge of the case said that they are still investigating the incident, and have also asked the Forensic team to aide them into the matter.

The official further said that the members of the family in their suicide note have stated that they have pushed the sixth member, who was a minor, from the terrace.

Notably, this is the second incident in July where an entire family has been found dead. Earlier this month, 11 members of a family in capital's Burari area were found dead in their house.

The police found the bodies of 10 members hanging from an iron mesh attached to the ceiling on July 1, while that of Narayan Devi was found lying on the floor in another room of the house. (ANI)
