Govt. withdraws Ram Rahim Singh's access to VIP lounges at airports

New Delhi [India], Sept 3 (ANI): The Ministry of Civil Aviation has sent out a notice to withdraw recently convicted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's privilege to use the VIP lounges at the airports across the country.

"It has now been directed to withdraw the permission for use reserved lounge at airports granted to Shri Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa," read the letter by the Aviation Ministry.

The ministry has asked the authorities to issue "necessary instruction" for compliance with the decision.

Ram Rahim Singh was sentenced to 20 years in jail, after being convicted in a 2002 rape case, and has been locked up in the Rohtak jail since. (ANI)
