Delhi HC to continue hearing Pachauri sexual harassment case
New Delhi [India], July 14 (ANI): A Delhi Court on Friday will continue to hear the case filed against former TERI chief Dr. R.K. Pachauri in connection with the sexual harassment of a research scholar.
The FIR was lodged against Pachauri on February 13, 2015 for alleged offence of sexual harassment, criminal intimidation on the basis of a complaint of 29-year-old research analyst of TERI.
In the last hearing on March 8, the lawyer of the research scholar requested the Delhi High Court to cancel the anticipatory bail of Dr. Pachauri.
The lawyer further said that the TERI officials have not provided access to those servers which contain crucial evidence of sexual harassment in the form of e-mails.
The Delhi Police has also interrogated two senior TERI officers - Sanjai Joshi and Reena Singh, who had spoken to the complainant's colleague to settle the matter.
In a recent development in the case, the victim wrote an open letter that TERI elevated the alleged perpetrator, Pachauri, to the position of vice chairman.(ANI)
