India Resolved To Become Developed Country By 2047: PM Modi At Rozgar Mela

At Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday said that India has resolved to become a developed nation by 2047 and that women are bringing changed in several fields.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday virtually distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in various government departments and organisations in the 'Rozgar Mela' event. Addressing the new appointees, PM Modi said India has resolved to become a developed country by 2047 and "we are going to become the third-largest economy in the next few years". Noting that several women have also received the appointment letters he said that women have always brought change in several fields, with a new energy.

"The country has resolved to become a developed India by 2047. In the next few years, we are going to be the third-largest economy...  In this period, every govt employee is going to play a huge role. You always need to work with a citizen-first spirit. You are part of a generation which has grown up with technology....You need to use the technology in your work domain," the PM said.

"Several women recruits have got appointment letters today...'Aaj Bharat ki betiya space se spot tak anek keertimaan bana rahi hain'... Women have always brought change in several fields, with a new energy," the PM said.

"Today, our nation is witnessing historic achievements and decisions. Few days ago, half the country's population got a big strength in the form of 'Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam' (Women's Reservation Bill)," he added.

Congratulating the new recruits, the Prime Minister expressed hope that their resolve of services will lead to the achievement of the nation's goals. He apprised the new appointees that the use of technology in government schemes has curbed corruption, and complexities and boosted credibility and comfort. He said that when millions of youth join government services, the speed and scale of implementing policies also increases.

Hailing the successful Chandrayaan-3 mission, PM Modi said that the aspirations of India of the 21st century are very high. "You are seeing what wonders the new India is doing. The new India that hoisted the tricolour on the Moon has dreams too high," he added.

He said that "technological transformation" has made governance easier in the past nine years. "Aadhar card, digital locker and e-KYC ended the complexity of documentation," the PM said.

"Today, India's GDP is growing rapidly amid difficulties in the global economy. There has been a huge increase in our production and exports. The amount of investment the country is making today in its modern infrastructure has never been done before,"Prime Minister Modi said.
