ABP India at 2047 Summit: Singer Jubin Nautiyal, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt melodies, brought a deeply personal perspective to the ABP Network’s India@2047 Summit as he spoke on the theme “Finding One’s Own Voice: Music for the Soul.” In a candid conversation moderated by ABP anchor Pratima Mishra, Jubin reflected on music’s spiritual connection, the role of authenticity in artistic expression, and how staying rooted in one’s individuality shapes a lasting career in today’s ever-evolving music landscape.
Jubin on beginning his singing journey
Jubin Nautiyal began his foray into singing by participating in singing reality shows including the popular singing competition show Indian Idol. The singer shares that he felt his instinct for singing after his father used to make him sit on his lap and sing the song 'Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai.'
Jubin, who has faced numerous rejections during the initial years of his career, shared his thoughts on the same. "I am very thankful to people who rejected me because had I not been rejected, there would not have been scope for improvement. Being rejected is not what matters, how you handle that rejection is important."
The 'Raatan Lambiyan' singer also talked about his tribal roots as he performed his latest song 'Eega' for the audience.
Jubin says remix songs depend on the intention
Sharing his thoughts on remix songs, Jubin said, "Old songs had a lot of conviction. I believe that if one is getting the opportunity to celebrate those songs and present a legendary song in front of a younger generation then why not."
The popular singer signed off with a positive message for budding artists. Jubin said, "Never sing to impress but to express. Aapki kismat me jo hai wo aapse koi le nahi sakta aur aapki kismat se zyada aapko koi de nahi sakta."
