Ideas Of India 3.0: Filmmakers Vipul Shah, Madhur Bhandarkar And Leena Yadav To Share Insights On Effects Of Cinema

Filmmakers Vipul Shah, Madhur Bhandarkar and Leena Yadav will discuss the effect of cinema during the session 'Anatomy of Art: Are Our Movies Dividing or Uniting Us' at ABP Ideas Of India Summit.

New Delhi:  'Ideas Of India Summit', a series of ABP Network events, has entered its third edition. It is planned for February 23 and 24 and will feature prominent figures from several fields. Popular filmmakers Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Madhur Bhandarkar and Leena Yadav will grace the session titled 'Anatomy of Art: Are Our Movies Dividing or Uniting Us' on Day 1 of the Summit.

The presence of these three filmmakers at the 'Ideas Of India Summit' would enrich the event with diverse perspectives on Indian cinema and society. They bring with them a wealth of experience and insights into different aspects of filmmaking, storytelling, and societal commentary.

Vipul Shah is a renowned Indian filmmaker known for his work in both Bollywood and Gujarati cinema. He has directed and produced several successful films including 'Aankhen,' 'Singh is Kinng,' and 'Namastey London'. Shah's films often blend elements of comedy, drama, and social commentary, making him a significant voice in Indian cinema. 'The Kerala Story' produced under his banner became one of the blockbusters of 2023.

Madhur Bhandarkar is celebrated for his realistic and hard-hitting portrayals of various aspects of Indian society. He is known for films like 'Chandni Bar', 'Page 3', and 'Fashion', which delve into the underbelly of industries like bar dancers, media, and fashion respectively. Bhandarkar's films are often praised for their gritty realism and unflinching portrayal of societal issues.

Leena Shah is a promising emerging filmmaker known for her distinctive storytelling style and unique narrative approach. Though relatively newer compared to Vipul Shah and Madhur Bhandarkar, Leena Shah has made a mark with her thought-provoking films. Her works often focus on contemporary social issues and interpersonal relationships, showcasing a fresh perspective in Indian cinema.

The participation of these popular filmmakers would likely stimulate engaging discussions on the role of cinema in shaping public discourse and driving social change in India.

The Ideas Of India Summit

The 'Ideas Of India Summit' is ABP Network's flagship event that brings together the best of the best on a single platform to delve into the numerous similarities and vast differences that make up the world's largest democracy — 'India, that is Bharat'. February 23 and 24 will see the annual event's third edition come right ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2024 and set 'The People's Agenda'.

The previous two editions — with their themes 'Naya India' and 'Open-Minds Open Minds' — were extremely successful in bringing out the ideas and concepts that drive India, and the third edition promises to be nothing less.
