Type 2 Diabetes: What Are Its Symptopms, Know Ideal Blood Sugar Level

The risk of Type 2 Diabetes is on the rise, owing to a change in lifestyle. Blood Pressure, stress, obesity, and insomnia are also the triggering factors behind this illness, according to experts.

Diabetes Type 2: Cases of heart diseases, blood pressure, and diabetes are rising rapidly, owing to the changing lifestyle and negligence in eating and drinking properly. Meanwhile, diabetes has become the fastest-growing illness amongst them. People turn diabetic mainly due to the increased sugar levels in their bodies. More than 77 million people in India are diabetic.

There are three types of diabetes, Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational diabetes. People are at increased risk of Type 2 diabetes. According to doctors, about 95 percent of diabetics are Type 2 patients. Do you know what is Type 2 diabetes and what should be the ideal blood sugar level? 

What Is Type 2 diabetes?

The pancreas produces insulin in the body. The body cells use this hormone to control the blood sugar level. Insulin controls the blood sugar level in the body. However, in Type 2 diabetes, the body does not respond to Insulin. This triggers an increase in the amount of glucose in the blood. This is the source of a large number of health problems. Factors like poor lifestyle, stress, lack of sleep, obesity, and blood pressure could trigger Type 2 diabetes.

What Should Be Sugar Level In Type 2 Diabetes?

Type 2 diabetes is diagnosed by taking a Glycated Hemoglobin test. In this test, a Hemoglobin level of less than 5.7 percent is normal, 5.7 to 6.4 percent can be pre-diabetes and 6.5 percent or more can indicate Type 2 diabetes. Diabetes Type 2 can also be detected through a random blood sugar test. If you report a high blood sugar level of 200 mg/dL and a blood sugar level of 126 mg/dL while fasting, you may have Type 2 diabetes.
