Omicron Scare: Centre To Deploy Multi-Disciplinary Teams To 10 States With High Cases Of Variant
Multi-disciplinary Central teams are to be deployed in Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Mizoram, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Punjab.
New Delhi: Union Health Ministry on Saturday announced that the multi-disciplinary central teams will be deployed to 10 states, some of which are either reporting an increasing number of Omicron and Covid-19 cases or a slow vaccination process.
As per the statement issued by the Health Ministry, multi-disciplinary Central teams are to be deployed in Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Mizoram, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Punjab.

Omicron Cases In India Increased To 415, 115 Recovered: Union Health Ministry
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 415 instances of the highly transmissible Omicron strain of the coronavirus on Saturday, up from 358 on Friday, even as many states tightened restrictions to halt its spread.
According to the health ministry, 115 of the 415 Omicron cases discovered across 17 states and union territories have already recovered from the covid-19 virus.
Maharashtra had the most Omicron instances with 108, followed by Delhi with 79, Gujarat with 43, Telangana with 38, Kerala with 37, Tamil Nadu with 34, and Karnataka with 31.
Earlier on Friday, 70% of the infected in the 183 known Omicron variant Covid-19 cases are asymptomatic, while the remainder have moderate symptoms, Union Health Ministry said.
