Wordle 280 Answer for March 26: Wordle is back to being tough today, an allegation The New York Times was facing immediately after it bought the popular word game from its creator Josh Wardle, a US-based software engineer, in January.

After a fairly easy run for at least couple of weeks, the puzzle today was found to be difficult to crack as the word is quote uncommon. 

Take a look at how players are reacting after trying to solve it. 

First time I've ever lost a Wordle. Made some dumb choices early on. Was tossing up between two at the end, went with the more reasonable one. It was the other. Goodbye 71 day streak. 😭

Today’s Wordle came out of left field, a tough word, but it was a word I think about sometimes and I knew it would come up eventually.

About Wordle And Its Rules

The Wordle, essentially a guessing game, was created by US-based oftware engineer Josh Wardle last year. It was an instant hit, with millions getting hooked to the free-to-pay puzzle in no time. The New York Times bought Wordle in January this year. It, however, did not change any feature of the game.      

The rules are simple. You get six chances to guess the five letter word of the day, which is randomly generated. Small squares containing the letter you fill in turn green, yellow or grey, giving crucial clues to let you know if you are on the right track.  

If the box turns green, it means the letter is in the right location.

A yellow box means your gues is right but the letter is not in the right place.

If the box turns grey, it means the letter is incorrect.
