Garena's Free Fire India's Re-Launch After Unban Gets Postponed By Few Weeks
Gamers eager for Fire Fire India's return after the unban will have to wait for some time as the release has been postponed by a few weeks. 'Scope in' till then by pre-registering and once it releases, Shoot!
The much-awaited Garena Free Fire India was supposed to hit the markets with its return after the unban today, however, the developers of the game announced that the game will be delayed by a “few weeks” before it is relaunched in India. Garena took to social media platforms to inform the gaming community about this and wrote, “To ensure we can offer the best possible experience to all of our Free Fire India fans from the start, we will postpone the launch by a few more weeks. In addition to refining the gameplay, we are taking some time to fully complete our localisation of the Free Fire India experience."
The game was set to return to the Indian market after 18 months of ban that the Indian government imposed on it due to national security concerns. Similar to BGMI, Free Fire India will also have ‘playtime limits’ that will remind gamers to take breaks rather than play continuously for hours. The game will also emphasize that it’s a virtual world and not a real-life scenario. To follow Indian laws, spending limits and ways to report bad behaviour will be enforced.
Garena has reworked the game in order to comply with the Indian authorities. Reportedly, the developers are working to make more localized content. The game will feature ‘India-exclusive’ elements, including MS Dhoni as an in-game character named ‘Thala.’ Garena is returning with former Indian Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the brand ambassador of Free Fire India.
Garena further plans to boost Esports in India by organising a big tournament in Uttar Pradesh in the month of December this year, as part of an agreement with the Yogi Adityanath government.
What will you do till the game returns? Users can pre-register the game on the Google Play store and as soon as the game officially returns, it will automatically be downloaded on your mobile phone.
