Mumbai: The popular expression ‘art imitates life’ rings true with Amazon miniTV’s multi starrer anthology ‘Kaali Peeli Tales’ that premiered on August 20. The new series showcases six interesting short stories that focus on love, relationships and complexities of life in the city of dreams- Mumbai. The makers have successfully managed to bring on screen sensitive topics like co-parenting, infidelity, homosexuality and divorce.

The intriguing stories bear a striking resemblance to the real-life stories of Bollywood celebs like Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who have remained in headlines, courtesy their divorce and co-parenting of kids. Now, this certainly raises the question whether ‘art imitates life’ or ‘life imitates art’ or it’s both. 

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao parted ways after 15 years of marriage. Last month, they issued a statement to confirm their separation. Despite ending their marriage, the former couple continues to remain on cordial terms. Talking about Hrithik, the 'War' star is co-parenting his two sons with ex wife Sussanne Khan.

Talking about 'Kaali Peeli Tales', the trailer of the six-part anthology managed to receive a good response from the audience. The series has been appreciated by the critics for its impressive storytelling. Vinay Pathak, Gauahar Khan, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gaagroo, Soni Razdan, Hussain Dalal, Sharib Hashmi, Tanmay Dhanania, Sadiya Siddiqui, Priyankshi Painyuli and Adeeb Rais are seen in key roles in 'Kaali Peel Tales'.

Alike the trailer, the web show has been hugely appreciated by the viewers across the globe along with the fraternity. Ever since the show has been launched, it has been making waves all over. 

The six-part anthology is streaming on Amazon’s MiniTV.
