Virat Kohli recently spoke about Anushka and said she has made 'massive sacrifices' as a mother in the last two years.
New Delhi: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are one of the most loved celebrity couples in the country. The couple, who tied the knot five years back on December 11, 2017, in Tuscany, has grown stronger with time and has given major relationship goals to people. Virat Kohli recently spoke about Anushka and said she has made 'massive sacrifices' as a mother in the last two years.
On the RCB podcast hosted by Danish Sait, Virat said, "The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement.”
When asked about a life-changing moment, he said it was when he met his lady love. “When I met Anushka… Because I saw a different side of life. It wasn’t the same as my environment. It was a different perspective, a different point-of-view. When you fall in love, you start processing those changes within you, as well. Because you have to move together, and to do that you have to open yourself up, you have to accept a lot of things… You share ideas, you share perspectives, which I had never seen in my life,” he said during the podcast.
He also spoke about the way Anushka inspires him. "When you look for inspiration, you start from home and, obviously, Anushka has been a big inspiration for me. My life had a completely different perspective. When you fall in love with a person, you start processing those changes within you as well. Her outlook towards life was different and it urged me to change for the better and become more accepting of things,” he said.
Anushka and Virat welcomed their daughter Vamika in 2021. Anushka, who took a break after Vamika was born, will be seen now in the sports drama ‘Chakda ‘Xpress’, in which she’ll play the Indian pace bowler Jhulan Goswami.
