Indian Men’s Hockey Team Wins Bronze Medal At Tokyo Olympics: Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar And Others Congratulate

Many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media and congratulated the Indian men's hockey team on this victory.

Mumbai: The Indian men’s hockey team bagged the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The team beat Rio Olympics Bronze Medal winner Germany 5-4. Though Men In Blue lost in the semi-finals, the team made sure to bring home the bronze medal. Making our country proud, this is India’s fourth medal at the Tokyo Olympics and the third bronze at the event.

The country celebrated as the Indian men’s hockey team played their heart out and bagged the bronze medal. As it is a proud moment for all the Indians, many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media and congratulated the team on this victory.

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “Wow!! Indian Men’s Hockey Team Congratulations. Resilience and skill at its peak. What an exciting match.”

The ‘Bell Bottom’ star Akshay Kumar also tweeted, “Congratulations Team India on rewriting history! An Olympic medal after 41 years! What a match, what a comeback!”
