The latest episode of 'Shark Tank India 4' saw an interesting pitch by a healthy breakfast brand The Naturik Co. Entrepreneurs Sahil and Isha shared details about their products, which are diverse and range from cheelas to sprouts, and called them healthier in comparison to their bigger competitors.
Vineeta's batchmade makes a pitch
During their pitch, they said, "Our products have no sugar, maida, palm oil, or preservatives," and asked for Rs 50 lakh in exchange of 2% equity, valuing their company at Rs 25 crore. However, what caught everyone's attention besides their impressive pitch was that Sahil told Vineeta Singh and Kunal Bahl that not only is he a fellow graduate of Delhi Public School, RK Puram, but in fact, a part of their same batch.
Vineeta shared that though she did not recognise him, adding cheekily, "You would’ve known me," to which Sahil admitted that he was fully aware of Vineeta even in school.
Being well-versed with the breakfast food market, he also added that their products had low carb content and thus reduced the possibility of flatulence.
Aman Gupta remarked, "Pata lag gaya hai ke aap apni industry ke gunde ho.” Aman was also the first shark to make an offer of Rs. 1 cr for 5% equity. Kunal Bahl, who does not give too many offers, was super-impressed and stated, "Let’s finish it here, I’ll give you Rs 4 crore for 20%,” he said. However, Anupam Mittal, who was also impressed with the founders and their products, offered to match Kunal’s terms.
Vineeta's offer
Vineeta, however, had a lot of feedback to give. One was on the packaging of the product that needed 'a huge area of improvement' and added that it looked like it 'was made by an intern'. She offered Sahil and Isha Rs. 50 lakh in exchange of 2.5% equity, which Peyush Bansal matched.
All-shark deal
As all sharks had something to offer, Sahil and Isha made a joint deal at the same valuation. Anupam also offered an all-shark deal of Rs. 4 cr, in exchange for 18% equity. However, after some negotiations, Sahil and Isha agreed, later saying, "God works in mysterious ways. We got eight times more than we had asked,”
