New Delhi: Star Plus launched the second season of one of its most successful shows 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' on October 19, 2020. Unlike the previous season, the show is airing at a prime time slot on the channel. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rupal Patel and Mohammad Nazim are reprising their respective roles of Gopi, Kokilaben Modi and Jogi in 'Saathiya 2'. Fans are quite excited to see their favourite characters back on the small screen. While the show has created a lot of buzz on social media, the off-screen is also grabbing eyeballs. If a recent report in an entertainment portal is to be believed, the new members of the show are feeling insecure and sidelined by the old star cast. Akanksha Juneja (Kanak) and Sneha Jain (Gehna) have reportedly caused troubles on the sets. Jueja created a scene on the sets of the show on Thursday (October 22), the report said. She is unhappy with the production house as she feels she has not been promoted well, the report added. "Devoleena, Rupal have been the face of Saath Nibhana Saathiya and continue to do so. Akanksha Juneja (who plays the role of Kanak) reportedly has been upset with the production as she has not been promoted well and has been feeling insecure about the popularity of the old cast members especially Rupal and Devoleena. With this, there is some shimmering tension amongst the old and the new cast members with hardly any conversation between them," a source told Pinkvilla.

Another source told the portal that Sneha Jain is causing issues on the sets for the production team.

The makers of the show are yet to react to the rumours. Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Rupal Patel enjoy a significant fan following as they played their respective characters for many years. 'Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2' replaced Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea Sharma starrer 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke' at 9pm slot. The daily soap also features Harsh Nagar as Anant. The creative team has managed to create anticipation among the viewers with the drama-packed episodes.
