'Aashiqui' Actor Anu Aggarwal Says Her Scenes From Latest Episode Of Indian Idol 13 Were Cut

Anu also added that she doesn't want to get defensive or blame the channel.

New Delhi: 'Aashiqui' actress Anu Aggarwal has called out Sony channel and the makers of singing show 'Indian Idol 13' for cutting her part completely from the show where she was a guest recently. Recently, the entire team of 'Aashiqui' was invited to the show where an episode was based on the film. The team of 'Aashiqui' including Rahul Roy, Kumar Sanu and Deepak Tijori were also present. And, while Anu sat next to Rahul and Deepak, it seems like her part has been cut out from the episode.

In an interaction with India.com, Anu shared her disappointment after being cut from the show. “I am saddened honestly that what I spoke was so motivational that it couldn’t be conveyed. I don’t care about myself but the words I said. We get inspired by people, we all are heroes,” she said, emphasizing that she didn’t want to blame anyone and that she only had “love for everyone on the show," she said.

“I walked in on stage and people were clapping. It was complete gratitude and I was thinking of God. Kumar Sanu started clapping and everybody got up and clapped. This all was deleted,” she added.

Anu also added that she doesn't want to get defensive or blame the channel.

Anu spoke about the recent Indian Idol episode where she was present to motivate the contestants. “I’m a self-made and self-healed girl. For me, it is very important to work to act to motivate the girls so that they can reach any heights and I was saying all this to all the girls on the show. Each and every contestant I encouraged and shared personal stories of what happened on the sets.”

Anu Aggarwal starrer 'Aashiqui' was a big commercial success and thanks to its music score, the film is remembered across generations. 'Aashiqui' also starred Deepak Tijori and Rahul Roy. The film earned many accolades and recognition; it was also nominated at the Filmfare Awards and later remade into Kannada.

'Aashiqui Part 2' was also made in 2013 starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor. That film also garnered accolades and received appreciation for its music.
