Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani Celebrate 3 Years Of Kabir Singh
Kabir Singh was also Shahid’s highest grossing solo-led release.
New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer 'Kabir Singh' completed 3 years on Tuesday. The Hindi remake of the Telugu super hit film titled 'Arjun Reddy', 'Kabir Singh' released on 21 June 2019 to great fanfare. The film courted controversy throughout the time it was in theaters and yet managed to break multiple box-office records.
Shahid and Kiara celebrated 3 years of 'Kabir Singh' with a special video that both shared on their Instagram accounts. In the video, we see both walking a ramp from what looks like the sets of 'Koffee With Karan'.
For the unaware, 'Koffee With Karan' is returning with season 7 on Disney + Hotstar.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani took to their official Instagram handle and captioned the video, "3 years of Kabir and Preeti 👩❤️👨#KabirSingh."
Soon after both shared the update, fans flooded the comments section with heart and fire emojis calling the film the best and 'no. 1' among other things.
'Kabir Singh' was directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the same director who helmed 'Arjun Reddy'. The film collected close to Rs 380 crores at the box office.
It revolved around the story of a senior MBBS student dating a junior in college. The overprotective boyfriend whose vigorous masculinity created an uproar among critics and audiences which criticized the film for promoting toxic masculinity.
However, a major part of the audience loved the film. In fact, 'Kabir Singh' was praised for it's music and Shahid's ace performance in it.
‘Kabir Singh’ was jointly produced by T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios. The film was also Shahid’s highest grossing solo-led release.
