New Delhi: Samantha Ruth Prabhu had a glorious birthday celebration on the sets of 'Citadel'. The actor shared pictures from last week, including those from her birthday on April 28. Looks like Samantha was surprised by the 'Citadel' team. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Samantha shared pictures of her birthday week looking all happy despite being surprised on her birthday when she told everyone not to do any surprises for her birthday.

"The rules were simple.. - no surprises, - no cake, -certainly no f**in balloons, I clearly get what I want. The week that was." Samantha wrote alongside the photo dump. In the first few photos, we see Samantha in her night suit. There is also a clip of Samantha being asked to come into one of the rooms when she realised the pan is to surprise her, she tries to run. However, she is pulled into the room by the 'Citadel' team while Krishna DK films the moment on his phone.

Samantha looks embarrassed and surprised by the ambush which also features quite some confetti. In another picture, Samantha poses with her 'Citadel' team, including her co-star Varun Dhawan. The rest of the images are candid shots but what caught our eye was Samantha having an ice bath. We already know how hard Samantha works for her films and their action sequences and this ice bath photograph is only another proof.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was most recently seen in the Telugu film 'Shaakuntalam'. The film bombed at the box office.Samantha will also be seen in Vijay Devarakonda in 'Kushi' which will also be releasing this year. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan and Samantha are headlining the Indian version of 'Citadel'. The US version, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, released on April 28 on Prime Video.
