Here Are Some Excerpts From The Interview:

1. Can you share something about your character?

I play Rajesh who is a very young actor, working in this theatre group which is the centre of the film. He has made quite a name for himself and through his dedication, talent, good performances and plays, has gained some recognition in films and the cinematic world and that somehow changes his equations with the other actors in his group or the other people known to him.

So, this is one equation of the film that is discovered through the lens of someone gaining popularity, someone who comes from a theatre background, and eventually gains popularity in a different medium.

2. Any particular scene from the movie which is your favourite?

I would say that the part where we shot the staging of the play, would have to be my favourite. I really had a lot of fun shooting it and I think, cinematographically speaking, it's also the best shot portion of the film.

3. How is this character different from the other ones that you have played?

Well, I haven't played a character like Rajesh, firstly because I have never played an actor on screen. Being an actor, playing the character of an actor is, I think quite interesting. And since I have started my career with theatre, I think that is where my roots lie.

I think acting as someone who is a part and parcel of theatre, was unique and exciting for me because when we used to shoot, I used to get an opportunity to shoot the rehearsal room, the stage, the stage rehearsals, and the first few previews of the shows. So, it was quite interesting. We often do not get to see that on screen.

4. How was your experience working on this film?

Frankly, I had a wonderful time. Anusha and I have worked so many times before and once again we got the opportunity to work together. I think that was the greatest part of it and I also feel very lucky to have worked with Ashoke Viswanathan, somebody of his intellect.

I have seen how he plans out the whole thing, how deeply he thinks about every scene, and every equation of the film and that is something I really look forward to while working with him. So it was a pretty fantastic experience. We also had tons of young actors with us and it was so much fun to shoot with them all.
