In a candid post shared on social media, Gurmeet urged fans to stay vigilant and thoroughly vet anyone employed for household duties, emphasising how crucial these precautions proved to be in his own case.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gurmeet wrote, “Alert. Today, a new worker stole some items from our home and ran away. Thankfully, we always verify anyone who comes to work, so we could act quickly. I’m especially grateful I was home, and my babies were safe in their room."

He further mentioned that thanks to swift action and a few well-timed phone calls, most of the stolen items were quickly recovered. “Most importantly, everyone is safe. Just a bit of bad luck, but a strong reminder: Stay alert. Always verify anyone who enters your home for work,” the actor added.

On Instagram Stories, Gurmeet elaborated that the newly hired worker had made off with several household items before fleeing. Fortunately, because of prior background verification and prompt response, much of what was taken was retrieved.

Just hours before sharing this alarming news, Gurmeet and his wife Debina Bonnerjee had posted a tender family moment on Instagram. The couple, along with their daughters Lianna and Divisha, appeared in a series of heartwarming photos captioned: “Tiny hands. Big hearts. Full life.”
