New Delhi: Popular comedian and presenter Kapil Sharma can now be seen as the host of The Great Indian Kapil Show on the streaming platform Netflix, following his stint hosting Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors TV from 2013 to 2016 and The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV from 2016 to 2023. Alongside Kapil, the show features Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Rajiv Thakur, with various celebrities joining each week for an enjoyable and entertaining interaction.

Kapil Sharma charges this amount for each episode of his Netflix show

Kapil Sharma and his entire team are reportedly receiving substantial payments for The Great Indian Kapil Show. According to a report in Zee Hindustan, Kapil Sharma, the lead artist and show host, is charging Rs 26 crore for 5 episodes, translating to over Rs 5 crore per episode. Archana Puran Singh, positioned in the center among the audience, is said to be earning Rs 10 lakh per episode, as per media sources. Sunil Grover, who has reconciled with Kapil after their well-known altercation on a flight in 2017, is reportedly charging Rs 25 lakh for each episode. Additionally, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur are reported to be receiving Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7 lakh, and Rs 6 lakh respectively for their roles in the Netflix show.

The Great Indian Kapil Show began streaming on Netflix from March 30. In its initial five episodes, notable celebrity guests have included Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Imtiaz Ali, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, and Aamir Khan. Every new episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show premieres every Saturday at 8 pm on Netflix.

The Great Indian Kapil Show team wraps season 1

On Thursday, Archana Puran Singh took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of a cake from the sets of The Great Indian Kapil Show. She wrote, "Season Wrap." 

During an interaction with PinkVilla, she talked about the show going off air. Archana said, "“Yes, we have wrapped up the shoot of season one of TGIKS; we shot the last episode of the season yesterday,” she said and then added, “It was great fun and celebration on the sets. The journey so far on the show has been quite amazing. It was a delightful journey and we had some amazing times on the sets.”
