'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' To Release On OTT On THIS Date, Hansal Mehta Shares Update

The wildly popular streaming series "Scam," created and helmed by Hansal Mehta, is back with a new edition a series titled "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story."

New Delhi: The wildly popular streaming series "Scam," created and helmed by Hansal Mehta, is back with a new edition that exposes yet another enormous fraud that sent shockwaves across the entire country.

Beginning on September 2, a series titled "Scam 2003: The Telgi Story" will be streamable. It is a translation of the Hindi book "Reporter ki Diary" by journalist Sanjay Singh, who is credited with first exposing the scam at the time.

Scam 2003 tells the tale of Abdul Karim Telgi's 2003 stamp paper fraud. The series promises to be fascinating to watch as it chronicles the life of Telgi, who was born in Khanapur, Karnataka, and his ascent to being the brains behind one of India's most cunning con games that spans many states, which shook the entire country. It is estimated that the scam value was around Rs 20,000 crore.

Director Hansal Mehta shared the special announcement on his social media handle. He wrote, "Special announcement on the 3rd anniversary of @sonylivindia.

In the future edition, Telgi will be played by Gagan Dev Riar. Together with author Sanjay Singh, the show will use Kiran Yadnyopavit, who is well-known for his work in Marathi cinema, to write and develop the plot.

When it was released in 2020, "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" shattered the internet, making Gujarati actor Pratik Gandhi an instant celebrity. Hansal Mehta, who is now enjoying the praise for his freshly released streaming series "Scoop," starring Karishma Tanna, co-directed the programme.

Hansal Mehta is the executive producer and Tushar Hiranandani is the director of "Scam 2003," which is a project of Applause Entertainment and Studio Next.

'Scam 2003: The Telgi Story' will begin streaming on Sony Liv from September 2.
