India’s Got Latent: Contestant's Act Stirs Online Debate About Family And Personal Choices

The latest episode of India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina, has stirred controversy yet again, this time over a performance by contestant Priyanka.

The latest episode of India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina, has stirred controversy yet again, this time over a performance by contestant Priyanka. Known for its unconventional acts, the show made headlines after Priyanka's bold on-stage performance drew mixed reactions online.

India's Got Latest contestant faces backlash

Introducing herself as an actor, Priyanka appeared alongside a designer friend whose act involved creatively ripping clothing to craft fresh, artistic designs. Initially, the performance was met with applause from the audience and panelists, including comedians Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, and singer Tony Kakkar, who praised its originality and boldness.

However, the tone shifted when Priyanka revealed that she is married and has a 15-year-old son. This disclosure surprised the panelists, prompting them to ask about her family’s reaction and whether her husband supported her decision to perform such acts.

A clip from Episode 11 quickly went viral, triggering a wave of reactions. While some viewers commended Priyanka’s courage to follow her passion, others criticised her, calling the act inappropriate for a married woman and mother.

One viewer commented, “Why would she do this on national television? Is this how you set an example for your kids?” Another remarked, “She’s redefining confidence, and that’s commendable!”

Known for featuring high-profile guests like Raftaar, Badshah, Uorfi Javed, and Tanmay Bhatt, India’s Got Latent is once again in the spotlight for blurring the lines between entertainment and controversy.

The incident has ignited a broader conversation about societal expectations, personal choices, and public judgment on reality TV. Whether Priyanka’s act will inspire others or continue to face backlash remains uncertain.
