The Hindi-language television series, "Bigg Boss," which is streamed on TV, is the source material for the digital reality show. Karan Johar presented the show's inaugural season on OTT. August 8 marked the debut of "Bigg Boss OTT Season 1."
The winner of "Bigg Boss OTT" won Rs. 25 lakhs, which is comparable to the substantial cash award on the "Bigg Boss" TV programme.

Unlike Season 1, which had the theme "Stay Connected," this year's show has the theme "Stay Together."
This year the participants include Falaq Naaz, Jiya Shankar, YouTuber Fukra Insaan aka Abhishek Malhan, Mika Di Vohti winner Akanksha Puri, Cyrus Broacha, Puneet Superstar( who was eliminated), Jad Hadid, Aaliyah Siddiqui, Bebika Dhruve, Palak Purswani, Avinash Sachdev and Pooja Bhatt.

Abhishek Malhan advised Falaq Naaz to put herself first before other contestants during nominations.Falaq made it very clear that what happens inside the Bigg Boss house may look quite alright to the contestants, but the real deal happens outside with the audiences judging the contestants in the house. When Abhishek emphasised that Falaq put herself first, the latter said if she feels someone is better than her, she will always name them. Falaq even added that Abhishek is also on her list of people who are doing better than her in the house.

While news of Salman quitting the show as the host including the ongoing 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' has been circulating, this is what the 'Dabangg' star had to say about the show during the launch of the OTT version.
"Bigg Boss is an emotion for me; I always say mai attachment se door rehta hoon but Bigg Boss is different! I have hosted it now for so many years that it feels like an extension of my life!" said Salman.
Salman has been the host of 'Bigg Boss' for the last 13 seasons and took over as the host of 'Bigg Boss OTT' this season.
