New Delhi: Kapil Sharma’s show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ is scheduled to premiere on March 30 on Netflix. The major highlight of the show is the reunion of Kapil and Sunil Grover, who buried the hatchet and ended a seven-year feud for the show. The trailer of the show was released recently and Bharti Singh and Sumona Chakravarti were missing from the trailer. Bharti Singh spoke about her absence from the show in a recent interview.
Bharti spoke to ETimes and said that she currently has no intentions of joining Kapil's show, attributing her decision to existing commitments elsewhere.
"For now I don't have any plans on joining Kapil bhai. But if something happens then I will surely join in. Currently, I am busy with my projects, podcasts, shooting Dance Deewane and all but if I get a call then I will surely go. For now, I have quite a few things in my kitty and less time to devote to something new,” she was quoted as saying by ETimes.
Bharti is currently juggling hosting duties on the dance reality show Dance Deewane and a podcast with her husband, Harsh Limbachiyaa, Bharti expressed time constraints preventing her from embarking on new ventures.
Sunil Grover calls his fight with Kapil Sharma a "publicity stunt"
Meanwhile, Sunil poked fun at the fight between him and Kapil and called it a “publicity stunt.”
He joked: "Us time pe Netflix India mein naya naya aaya tha toh humko laga ki television ki audience ko baandh ke rakhne ke liye kuch karna padega (Netflix had just entered in India back then. So, I and Kapil thought that we gotta do something to hold our television audience".
"That's how we came up with that idea of a fight as a publicity stunt", Sunil said.
On reuniting with the team, Sunil had earlier said: "It feels like a homecoming. We just picked up from where we left off. The trailer is just a small glimpse of the madness and fun we’ve had on the show."
The first episode will see Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor as guests.
