Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar’s Aerial Thriller Sees Impressive Weekend Growth, Earns Rs 61.75 Crore

Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's film added another ₹27.50 crore on Sunday, taking its opening weekend domestic nett collection to ₹61.75 crore.

Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya’s aerial action drama Sky Force took flight after a slow start, showing impressive growth over the weekend. The film’s Saturday and Sunday performance propelled it to an impressive first weekend total, sparking hope for a successful box office run. If it can sustain its momentum on Monday, Sky Force is well-positioned for a strong lifetime collection.

Day 3 Box Office Numbers

Sky Force began with a ₹12.25 crore collection on day 1, which was slightly underwhelming for a film of its scale. However, the film made up for the slow start with an impressive 80% growth on Saturday, raking in ₹22 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the film added another ₹27.50 crore on Sunday, taking its opening weekend domestic nett collection to ₹61.75 crore. The film's makers claimed Sky Force earned over ₹40 crore in its first two days, suggesting the final opening weekend figure could be closer to ₹70 crore.

The film has performed decently overseas as well, earning $600K in its first two days, contributing an additional ₹5 crore to its total collection. However, as with most Akshay Kumar films, Sky Force is expected to generate the majority of its revenue from the Indian market.

The significant weekend growth has been attributed to positive word of mouth and glowing reviews from critics. Whether the film sustains its momentum depends on the crucial Monday test, which will play a pivotal role in determining its lifetime earnings.

All About Sky Force

Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force is loosely inspired by the Sargodha airbase attack during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. In addition to Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, the film features Sara Ali Khan and Sharad Kelkar in key roles, along with a cameo by Nimrat Kaur.
