'Sky Force' Box Office Collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar's Film Sees A Surge On Saturday, Crosses Rs 40 Crore
'Sky Force' Box Office Collection Day 2: The patriotic drama, released on January 24, has witnessed a significant surge in collections.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar's patriotic drama 'Sky Force' seems to be his chance for redemption after a run of disappointing box office performances. Even though the film had a sluggish opening weekend, Saturday saw a massive turnaround, with receipts increasing by 75.51%. The film, released on January 24, also stars Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan.
'Sky Force' had a respectable opening weekend in India, earning Rs 15.30 crore, but it had a massive increase on Saturday, earning Rs 26.30 crore, bringing its total earnings to Rs 41.60 crore.

On Saturday, the total occupancy rate was 35.76%, with night performances attracting the most people. The cities with the greatest occupancy rates were Bengaluru (49.75% with 308 shows), Chennai (47.75% with 67 shows), and Mumbai (44.50% with 859 shows).
‘Sky Force’ is expected to see a further increase in collections, according to trade experts, as Republic Day festivities get started. Along with ‘Raees’, ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Fighter’, this Bollywood smash is vying for the record for the largest January 26th box office take ever.
‘Sky Force’ might be Akshay Kumar's return to form after a series of financially disastrous films such as ‘Khel Khel Mein’, ‘Sarfira’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and others. ‘Sooryavanshi’ (2021), his last blockbuster, grossed a total of Rs 293 crore over the globe.
About ‘Sky Force’
The plot of the film has created quite a stir since it is based on the first and deadliest airstrike that India carried out during the India-Pakistan War in 1965. An Indian Air Force officer named KO Ahuja, portrayed by Akshay Kumar, is sent on a quest to locate his comrade, Veer Pahariya, who goes missing. ‘Sky Force’ is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
