'Swagat Nahi Karoge': Salman Asks Fans To Welcome SRK On OTT. Here's How 'Zero' Star Reacted To Bhaijaan's Tweet!
Salman Khan asked his followers to welcome Shah Rukh Khan, who is yet to foray into the OTT space. Their Twitter banter will make you sing 'Ye Bandhan To Pyaar Ka Bandhan Hai'.
Mumbai: Several Bollywood celebs including Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn have forayed into the OTT space in past few years. While Saif made his digital debut with ‘Sacred Games’, Akshay released his much-awaited film ‘Laxmii’ on Disney+Hotstar in 2020. The likes of Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit have also decided to feature in web series after realizing the power and tremendous reach of the digital medium.
Unlike his contemporaries, Shah Rukh Khan is yet to make his OTT debut. While his ardent fans want him to rule the web world, King Khan is yet to give his nod to a project. The ‘Chennai Express’ dropped another hint about his entry in the digital space.
Shah Rukh’s ‘Siway SRK’ ad, which was unveiled last week, trended on social media. The advertisement showcased Khan’s ‘FOMO’ moment at a time when leading B-town celebs are working on projects for OTT platforms.
The ‘Kal Ho Na’ star posted a new video wherein his manager can be seen telling him that Disney+Hotstar has rejected his ideas for his digital debut. The ‘King of Romance’ apparently wished to star in a crime drama; however, his manager reminded him that Ajay Devgn has already announced a project on similar lines.
SRK’s ideas for a horror-comedy and action thriller were also rejected as Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Bhoot Police’ and IPL 2021 are a part of Hotstar’s slate. The superstar shared the clip on Instagram along with the caption, "Waise main haar kar jeetne waalon mein se hoon."
Salman Khan, who entertained the audience with 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', shared the same ad on Twitter. He tweeted, "Hmmm Swagat nahi karoge @iamsrk ka? #SiwaySRK"
Shah Rukh responded to Salman's tweet and thanked him for the sweet gesture. The 'Main Hoon Na' star used a reference from their film 'Karan Arjun' while replying to the 'Bigg Boss 15' host's post. "Thanks bhaijaan. Ye bandhan abhi bhi pyaar ka bandhan hai," King Khan wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Shah Rukh Khan's Upcoming Films
On the professional front, SRK was last seen in Aanand L Rai's 'Zero', which released in 2018. The film co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma couldn't create ripples at the box office.
Shah Rukh will make his comeback to Hindi cinema with YRF's 'Pathan', which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He is also reportedly working with Atlee in a film titled 'Lion'.
