New Delhi: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Shaakuntalam'. The actress responded to a fan who urged her to date someone by sharing an edited video of Samantha on Twitter, speaking on a show during the film's promotions.
The person captioned it, "I know it's not my place to say, but plz date someone @Samanthaprabhu2." The actor responded, "Who will love me like you do (heart hands emoji)."

Samantha Prabhu was married to her 'Majili' co-star actor Naga Chaitanya. The couple announced their separation in October 2021 after five years of marriage. Taking to their respective social media handles, both the actors had issued a statement, announcing their separation with mutual understanding.
The statement read as, "To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support."
Samantha will next be seen in 'Shaakuntalam', which will be released on April 14. The mythological romantic drama, directed by Gunasekhar, also features Dev Mohan in the title character. Samantha makes her pan-India debut as the film will be available in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
On September 1, Samantha's film 'Kushi', starring Vijay Deverakonda, will be released. The family film in Telugu is directed by Shiva Nirvana and made by Mythri Cinema Productions.
Samantha is also working on the Indian adaptation of the international series 'Citadel' opposite Varun Dhawan, being created by Raj and DK. In an earlier interview with the news agency ANI, Samantha had stated this about the show: "When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is homecoming for me.”
