Salman Khan, Aamir Khan in Andaz Apna Apna sequel?
Now, speculation is running high about the two megastars possibly coming together for Andaz Apna Apna 2. “While Salman Khan and Aamir Khan haven’t worked together on screen since 'Andaz Apna Apna', there is a buzz that they might reunite for its sequel. The original film is set for a theatrical re-release in April, which could be a subtle hint at what’s to come. However, nothing has been officially confirmed about the sequel yet,” NDTV quoted its source as saying.
'Andaz Apna Apna' holds a special place in Bollywood’s comedy legacy, and fans have long wished for a sequel. While the audience hasn’t seen Aamir and Salman share screen space in a film since then, they have crossed paths on television. Aamir made an appearance on Bigg Boss to promote a film, where he and Salman engaged in a fun-filled reunion that delighted fans. The latest instance of their camaraderie was when Aamir, accompanied by his son Junaid Khan, appeared on the show to promote Loveyapa.
Andaz Apna Apna re-release
Meanwhile, the film is slated to rerelease in April this year. Director Rajkumar Santoshi said, “Andaz Apna Apna is very close to my heart and I am very excited to hear that it is re-releasing again this April.”
The film also stars Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor, originally released on November 4, 1994. The film will be re-released all over India by Cinepolis.
Upcoming projects
On the professional front, Salman Khan is gearing up for 'Sikandar', which is slated for release on March 28, 2025. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film will see Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.
Aamir Khan is currently focused on his next project, 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.
