#MeToo: Mouni Roy finally reveals whether she was sexually harassed by 'Gold' director Reema Kagti
A blind item published on an entertainment portal 2 months ago talked about a female director of a film who made her leading actress uncomfortable by touching her bust on pretext of settling her blouse on the sets. Though the duo involved wasn't named in the 'guess who' article but this soon spread all over with everyone believing it was Mouni Roy(actress) and Reema Kagti(filmmaker) and the alleged 'incident' happened on the sets of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold'. Now Mouni has reacted to the same controversy while slamming a twitter user who took a dig at Reema.
It happened on the tweet thread of Konkona Sen's twitter handle. Konkona had tweeted about herself and the other female filmmakers Alankrita Shrivastava, Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, Meghna Gulzar, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehtra and Reema Kagti who took a stand in support of the ongoing #MeToo movement announcing they would not work with the proven offenders in future.
Konkona's #MeTooIndia tweet:
In reaction to Konkona's post, a twitter user wrote - "Oh come on with this hypocrisy!! Reema Kagti has herself been known to sexually harass @Roymouni during Gold movie! The blinds r all over the net! N she is part of this??"#metooindia pic.twitter.com/19a6Duj6IR

Soon after Mouni turned up to respond to the tweet and denying any such incident she wrote back to the the twitter user - "I was not harassed on the set of Gold by anyone. Director or otherwise. I wish this maligning would stop as it not only harassing me and Reema Kagti but also taking away from women that have truly been wronged"Oh come on with this hypocrisy!! Reema Kagti has herself been known to sexually harass @Roymouni during Gold movie! The blinds r all over the net! N she is part of this?? 🤔🤔
