IIFA 2023 Winners List: Gangubai Kathiawadi Leads With Most Nods, Brahmastra Takes Second Spot

Alia Bhatt won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) for her film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'.

New Delhi: On Saturday night in Abu Dhabi, the IIFA Awards 2023 took place and the top winners for the evening were the films 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Drishyam 2', and 'Brahmastra'. Alia Bhatt won Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) on Saturday night, continuing 'Gangubai Kathiawadi's winning streak after it swept the technical prizes at IIFA 2023. 

The mystery movie 'Drishyam 2' starring Ajay Devgn won this year's IIFA Best Picture awards, while Hrithik Roshan's performance in 'Vikram Vedha' earned him the title of Best Actor. 

At IIFA 2023, veteran actor Kamal Haasan accepted the award for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema, he received a standing ovation. Accepting the golden trophy, Kamal expressed his gratitude and said: "I grew up in cinema ... I came here when I was three and half. ... You have been kind enough to allow me to survive till this stage ... I'm very thankful and humbled." Kamal started as a child artiste in the 1960 Tamil film 'Kalathur Kannamma'.
