Swara Bhasker Shares 'Appreciation Tweet' For Taapsee Pannu & Anurag Kashyap After I-T Team Raids Their Mumbai Houses

Swara Bhaskar took to social media to share appreciation posts for Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap after the Income Tax department conducted raids at their properties in Mumbai.

Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker shared appreciation posts for Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu on social media after the Income Tax department carried out searches at their properties in Mumbai. Bhasker, who is quite vocal about her opinion on several national issues, posted two tweets to support her friends- Anurag and Taapsee.

The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actress called Kashyap a ‘cinematic trailblazer’ on Twitter. She tweeted, “Appreciation tweet for @anuragkashyap72 who has been a cinematic trailblazer, a teacher and mentor of talent and a man. With rare candour and a brave heart ! More power to you Anurag.”

Swara addressed Taapsee as a warrior and asked her to stand strong. Bhasker called the ‘Pink’ star as an ‘amazing girl with courage’. Her tweets went viral on the internet in no time.

“Appreciation tweet for @taapsee who is an amazing girl with courage and conviction that is rare to see now days. Stand strong warrior!,” she wrote on the micro-blogging site.

The I-T team carried out searches at more than 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune, including the properties of Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, and Vikas Bahl as part of the probe into a ‘tax evasion’ case.

A source told IANS that multiple teams of Income Tax department conducted raids at over 30 locations in Pune and Mumbai, including the premises of  Phantom Films, Madhu Mantena and some executive of KWAN talent agency. The I-T team carried the searches in connection with some ‘tax-evasion’ matter. There are some ‘inter-linked transactions between these said entities’, the report in the news agency said.

Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena, Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl formed Phantom Films in 2011. The production house, which produced critically acclaimed films like ‘Queen’ and ‘Lootera’, was dissolved in 2018.

On the professional front, Anurag and Taapsee are currently busy shooting for their next project titled ‘Dobaaraa’. They have previously worked in Manmarziyaan, which also starred Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan.
