The distribution community and exhibitors allegedly requested the change in release date so that the film wouldn't compete with ‘Kill’ by Karan Johar and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ by Nag Ashwin.

Director Neeraj addressed the most popular question—why did he not decide to de-age Ajay and Tabu instead of casting Shantanu and Saiee as the younger characters?—in an interview with News18. He said, “We were very clear from day one that there would be two different sets of actors to portray two age groups because that fits the story and that, I think, is the beauty of it. People change after 24. Our physical appearance changes.”
Sayaji Shinde, Saiee Manjrekar, Shantanu Maheshwari, Jimmy Shergil, Tabu, and Ajay Devgn are all part of the ensemble cast. Narendra Hirawat, Sangeeta Ahir, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Shital Bhatia are the producers, while Neeraj Pandey is the director.
