Squid Game Actor Lee Jung Jae Faces Fraud Charges From CEO Of Reborn Rich’s Production: Report

Actor Lee Jung Jae and Park In Gyu, the former CEO of WYSIWYG Studios, have been charged with major fraud. Lee Jung Jae recently made news for the Netflix sequel to his popular Korean series ‘Squid Game’. The CEO of RaemongRaein, the company in charge of producing Song Joon-Ki's popular drama Reborn Rich, is the one making the allegations.

Fraud allegations against Lee Jung Jae and Park In Gyu

A formal complaint has been lodged against the actor and the former CEO and the Seoul Gangnam Police Station has been looking into it since June, according to the reports. Kim Dong Rae, CEO of RaemongRaein, filed a fraud charge under the Specific Economic Crimes Act.

Kim claims that Park and Lee made up a pretext to convince him to include the two big shareholders, which is what led to the expansion of his business. Therefore, Kim gave them his shares but he said that Lee and Park were attempting to remove him from the executive position within the organisation.

The agreement with Kim was meant to establish joint management, but neither party followed through on the terms of the contract. They were looking for control of the business and its financial resources, according to the complaint. The team of Lee Jung Jae has refuted all claims and stated that the contract, which confined the transfer of management rights to what was mutually agreed upon, was not broken.

The agents of the actors confirmed that they had little contact with Kim both before and after the contract signing. Lee has filed a countersue against the CEO for allegedly making fraudulent claims. Kim was questioned by the in-charge of the police station about the case; Lee and the previous CEO will be called next.
