K-pop Singer Park Bo Ram Popular For Reply 1988 Song, Passes Away At 30

South Korean singer Park Bo Ram passed away at the age of 30. Her death has left the South Korean music industry as well as her fans in shock.

New Delhi: South Korean singer Park Bo Ram passed away on April 12 according to her agency, Xanadu Entertainment. She was 30 years old. The actor and songwriter passed away suddenly in Korea, according to the announcement. The police is investigating the death and trying to find out the cause. Bo Ram’s demise has left the South Korean music industry as well as her fans in shock.

As per reports, she was set to complete 10 years in the South Korean music industry. The singer was gearing up to release two new songs later this year in honour of reaching her ten-year milestone.

“This is XANADU Entertainment. We are here to share sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Park Bo Ram suddenly passed away late at night on April 11. All of the artists and executives at XANADU Entertainment are deeply mourning the deceased with great sadness. It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all of the fans who support Park Bo Ram. The funeral will be held after consulting with the bereaved’s family. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased so she may rest in peace,” her agency, XANADU Entertainment said.

Park Bo Ram dies at 30

According to an AllKPop report, Park Bo Ram went to a private event just hours before she passed away, based on a report that Namyangju Police Station investigators filed. As per reports, she was drinking with two of her friends. The singer reportedly went the restroom at 9:55 p.m., but she did not come back. After a while, her friends went in to check on her and she was ‘found slouched over the sink, unconscious.’

Park Bo Ram was well-known for her soulful voice and popular tracks like Hyehwadong (Or Ssangmundong) for ‘Reply 1988’ and Please Say Something, Even Though It Is a Lie for ‘W - Two Worlds’. In 2014, the singer made her official pop music debut with the release of the song ‘Beautiful’. The track also featured rapper Zico. At the 2014 Gaon Chart Music Awards, she took home the Artist of the Year trophy.
