‘Drishyam 2’ Trailer: Mohanlal's Upcoming Thriller Promises To Keep You Glued To Your Screens; Film To Release This February!

New Delhi: ‘Drishyam 2’ is one of the most awaited movies of this year. Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, this upcoming thriller film is a sequel to the 2013 film ‘Drishyam’ and has been written and directed by Jeethu Joseph.

Amazon Prime Video dropped the trailer of the Malayalam thriller ‘Drishyam 2’, which tells the gripping story of a family which is threatened by the investigation. All set to release globally this February, the trailer of the upcoming thriller takes the viewers into a roller coaster ride of emotions, simplicity and most importantly, a thrilling plot. The story revolves around Georgekutty (essayed by Mohanlal) and his family and how their lives have altered post that one fateful night. The enthralling tale will keep the fans glued to their screens as the protagonist endeavours to protect his family once again.

Speaking about the movie, lead actor Mohanlal said, “Critics, fans and the audience showered us with tremendous love and appreciation seven years ago. We didn’t expect the film to receive such a phenomenal response and garner the cult-status. With Drishyam 2, we aim to take this legacy forward and accomplish a new cinematic milestone. This movie isn’t just a good-versus-evil crime thriller. It is an immersive story about Georgekutty and his family and the emotional journey he goes through to save them, at any cost. Over the last few years, viewers have written to us with so many theories. I am happy to say that we will now finally dispel all theories and answer all questions with the sequel.”

Apart from Mohanlal, this movie also stars Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba, Esther and Saikumar in pivotal roles.
