New Delhi: Singer-rapper Honey Singh will be appearing on Rhea Chakraborty's podcast ‘Chapter 2’ to discuss bipolar disorder, a topic that is both intimate and often misunderstood. On Wednesday, Rhea shared a sneak peek of their personal conversation on Instagram, revealing a vulnerable side of Honey Singh. In the clip, Honey opens up about still battling mental health challenges. The full episode is set to air on January 17.
Yo Yo Honey Singh reveals the extent of his struggles with bipolar disorder. "Main itne in-depth gaya hua itna kharab case hoon bi-polar disorder ka. Ek mental patient hu main aaj bhi (I've gone in-depths, I'm such a bad case of bipolar disorder. I am still a mental patient)," he shared.
The discussion stresses the need to recognise and treat bipolar illness. Rhea makes the point, "Main Bipolar disorder ko kaafi closely samajhti hu (I understand bipolar disorder very closely)."
Rhea, who has been open about her own struggles with mental health, expresses her admiration for Honey's courage in sharing his story. She thanks him for "surviving," to which Honey responds, "Akbar The Great is meeting Alexander The Great. Two fighters are meeting."
In agreement, Honey Singh elaborated on the difficulties of obtaining appropriate therapy by saying that there is a severe lack of physicians in India who have a thorough understanding of the condition. He then shared story of a "magician" doctor he met, who gave him hope.
