Famous actress Mamta Kulkarni has taken sanyas (renunciation) and received initiation at the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. She is set to be made a Mahamandaleshwar in the Kinnar Akhada. At the Sangam, Mamta performed her own pind-daan (ritual offering) with her own hands. In the evening, she will undergo the Patabhishek ceremony, where she will be conferred with the title of Mahamandaleshwar. During this ceremony, Mamta will also receive a new name. From now on, she will be known as Shri Yamai Mamta Nand Giri. This marks a new chapter in her life as she embraces spiritual renunciation and begins a new journey in the religious community.
