Bollywood celebrity weddings always turn into big events, but a handful of them know how to keep them intimate and away from the public eye. Vishal Punjabi, aka ‘The Wedding Filmer’ recounted a few of such dreamy weddings, where celebs had only their closest friends and family members in attendance.

Speaking of B-town couples such as Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, he said that they picked exclusive venues to keep their weddings completely shielded. Both the couples chose Italy as their wedding destination. During his appearance as a guest on Shivani Pau’s podcast, Vishal talked about modern-day couples wanting ‘big weddings’.
“You all saw the Ambani pre-wedding; it could get that big. Then you have the Deepika Padukone wedding; beautiful, a love marriage, intimate, only 150 people at Lake Como… It’s hard, it’s expensive,” he said.
Vishal also shared that actors Deepika and Ranveer had no desire to create ‘viral’ content through their wedding. He had held onto their wedding video for five years. “Imagine, I was holding on to that video and I couldn’t show it to anybody,” he said.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had the 'most beautiful wedding ever'
He added, “Fifty people in Como is doable. That’s what Virat Kohli did. Cricket is a religion in India, and he’s a god. He and Anushka got married in Tuscany. It was really beautiful. The closest family and friends, only 40 of them, including mum, dad, makeup artists and us… They smashed the wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding ever. No one troubled them. It was like someone had put a bubble around that place, and they could just be. They had the most magical wedding ever. As I was checking in, Barack Obama was checking out; it was a really cool and exclusive and beautiful property.”
After dating for a couple of years, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in December 2017 in Italy's Tuscany. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married back in 2018 at Lake Como.
